AN ACT CONCERNING THE WELL-BEING OF CHILDREN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2017) The Commissioner of Children and Families shall, within available appropriations, conduct a study to evaluate the department's programs affecting the well-being of children in the state. The commissioner shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to children on or before February 1, 2018.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

July 1, 2017

Statement of Purpose:

To study the effects of the programs offered by the Department of Children and Families that address the well-being of children in the state.
