AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE OF ABUSE-DETERRENT OPIOID ANALGESICS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require health insurance policies that provide coverage for prescription drugs to provide coverage for abuse-deterrent opioid analgesics on a basis no less favorable than for covered nonabuse-deterrent opioid analgesics.

Statement of Purpose:

To require health insurance policies that provide coverage for prescription drugs to provide coverage for abuse-deterrent opioid analgesics on a basis no less favorable than for covered nonabuse-deterrent opioid analgesics.
