AN ACT CONCERNING COST-SHARING FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to prohibit health insurers from imposing a coinsurance, copayment, deductible or other out-of-pocket expense that exceeds one hundred dollars per thirty-day supply for a covered prescription drug or placing all prescription drugs in a given class in the highest cost-sharing tier of a tiered prescription drug formulary.

Statement of Purpose:

To assist Connecticut citizens with prescription drug costs.
