AN ACT CONCERNING A PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL DROPOUT PREVENTION DEMONSTRATION GRANT PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 10-266p of the general statutes be amended to include a three-year public secondary school dropout prevention demonstration grant program within the priority school district grant program to fund existing exemplary programs or new programs at a minimum of five hundred thousand dollars per year.
Statement of Purpose:
To fund effective ways to prevent dropouts and to encourage schools to think about and adopt methods to do so.
