AN ACT REQUIRING DNA TESTING OF PERSONS ARRESTED FOR THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 54 of the general statutes be amended to require any person arrested for the commission of a felony to submit to the taking of a blood or other biological sample for DNA analysis.
Statement of Purpose:
To facilitate the identification of suspects in criminal cases by requiring the DNA testing of persons arrested for the commission of a felony.
