AN ACT CONCERNING DIGITAL COPIERS AND PRIVACY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require all digital copiers sold in the state to contain software that erases all copied data when the copier is shut off.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect the privacy of users of digital copiers.
