AN ACT PERMITTING EACH INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION THAT IS PART OF THE CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM AND THE REGIONAL COMMUNITY-TECHNICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM TO APPOINT, REMOVE AND FIX THE COMPENSATION OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF SUCH INSTITUTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to permit each institution of higher education that is part of the Connecticut State University System and the regional community-technical college system to appoint, remove and fix the compensation of its chief executive officer.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide each institution of higher education with the autonomy to hire, fire and compensate its own president.
