AN ACT GRANTING POWER TO THE GOVERNOR TO BALANCE THE BUDGET.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to grant all extraordinary powers to the Governor to balance the budget when the projected budget deficit, as agreed upon by the Office of Policy and Management and the Office of Fiscal Analysis, exceeds fifteen per cent of the current fiscal year's budget.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the Governor with every option to balance the budget.
