AN ACT PROHIBITING PROPERTY TAX SURCHARGES ON LANDLORDS WHO DO NOT RESIDE IN TOWN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit municipalities from charging a property tax fee or surcharge to real property owners who reside in a different municipality.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the extra taxation of landlords who do not live in town.
