AN ACT CONCERNING VETERANS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective October 1, 2016) The Adjutant General, or his designee, shall compile a list of any armed conflict authorized by the President of the United States not presently commemorated by the Connecticut State Veterans Memorial in Minuteman Park for inclusion in said memorial. No later than January 1, 2017, the Adjutant General shall submit such list to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to veterans' and military affairs.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	October 1, 2016	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Adjutant General to compile a list of armed conflicts authorized by the President of the United States to be included for commemoration by the Connecticut State Veterans Memorial in Minuteman Park.
