AN ACT CONCERNING THE AWARD OF THE WARTIME SERVICE MEDAL TO MEMBERS OF THE MERCHANT MARINE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 27-73e of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Adjutant General shall award the Connecticut Veterans' Wartime Service Medal to any member of the merchant marine, as defined in section 9-25a of the general statutes, who served in time of war and who (1) was a resident of this state at the time he or she entered service with the merchant marine, or (2) is domiciled in this state on the date of such award.
Statement of Purpose:
To award the Connecticut Veterans' Wartime Service Medal to each resident who served in time of war as a member of the United States Merchant Marine.
