AN ACT CONCERNING FRIVOLOUS COURT ACTIONS FILED BY INMATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that an inmate who is committed to the custody of the Commissioner of Correction and who files a frivolous court action, including, but not limited to, an action against the victim of the crime for which the inmate is committed, may be ordered to reimburse the defendant for the defendant's court costs.
Statement of Purpose:
To require inmates who file frivolous court actions to reimburse the defendant for court costs.
