AN ACT CONCERNING CHILDREN'S DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2017) The Commissioner of Children and Families, in consultation with the Commissioner of Public Health, shall, within available appropriations, establish a program to evaluate the development of children throughout the state. The commissioners shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such program to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to children on or before February 1, 2018.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2017	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To study the development of children in the state.
