AN ACT CONCERNING TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2013) The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority shall initiate a docket to study the feasibility of modernizing telecommunications service. The authority shall report, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, the findings of such docket to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to energy on or before February 1, 2014.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2013	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To determine the feasibility of modernizing telecommunications service.
