Summary

As introduced, this bill prohibits the importing, selling, offering for sale, purchasing, bartering, possessing with the intent to sell, any ivory or rhinoceros horn products within the District of Columbia. Exceptions include ivory products that are part of an estate, or sold for educational or scientific purposes, or authorized by federal or state law. It also establishes penalties for first, second, and third or subsequent offenses.
