Summary

This bill moves the role of Investigation Coordinator in the child welfare system out of the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families and into the Office of the Child Advocate. It also ensures that the Investigation Coordinator continues to have electronic access to the DSCYF internal tracking system and DELJIS. The new text emphasizes the confidentiality of all records maintained or prepared by the Investigation Coordinator and mandates that any confidential information received by the Coordinator may not be used by the OCA in the performance of any other duties.
