Summary

This Act would start a Public Guardian’s term of office from the date of swearing in instead of the current date of appointment. The interval between the date of appointment and the date of swearing in allows for a transition period in which a current Public Guardian or interim appointee can serve until such time as the newly appointed Public Guardian is available to start their duties after fulfilling any prior professional obligations.
