Summary
This bill allows retired nurse volunteers to work under the direction of a licensed physician or dentist at Delaware medical clinics that provide free non-emergency medical care and limited dental services to low-income, uninsured adults ages 18 to 64, so long as the retired nurse volunteer was licensed in Delaware within 5 years of applying to be a retired nurse volunteer; doesn’t work more than 40 hours per month; attends at least 20 hours of nursing education programs each calendar year; and is covered by professional liability insurance provided by the clinic or by the retired nurse volunteer.
