Summary
The current Move On Over law applies to police and stationary authorized emergency vehicles of the Department of Transportation. The law, which is helping to reduce the risk of serious injuries and death to public servants who are working in harm’s way, currently does not apply to tow trucks that are not authorized vehicles of the Department of Transportation. This bill would extend the Move On Over law to tow trucks displaying flashing amber or red warning lights, whose operators are at similar risk of injury and death and who are often called to accident scenes to provide roadside assistance
Title
A Bill To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code To Expand The Move On Over Law To Include Tow Trucks.
