Summary

Currently, most first responders are afforded Line-of-Duty Death Benefits in the event of a tragedy while they are serving in the course of their assigned duties. However, Constables, except for Justice of the Peace Constables, are not eligible for those benefits. This legislation would make Constables commissioned through 10 Delaware Code, Sections 2701-2710 eligible for line of duty death benefits.
