This bill is the result of a recommendations made by the Joint Sunset Committee relating to the sunset review of the Delaware Manufactured Home Relocation Authority. This bill extends the sunset date for the Trust Fund for an additional five (5) years to July 1, 2019. This bill increases the cap on the Trust Fund to $15 million. This bill provides the Authority’s board of directors with the ability to set the maximum payment to be paid to a tenant who abandons a manufactured home in a manufactured home community. Currently the Authority’s board of directors establishes the maximum compensation that tenants may be awarded to relocate a manufactured home, as well as payments for manufactured homes that are determined to be nonrelocatable.
