Summary

This Senate Concurrent Resolution articulates the support of the Delaware General Assembly for the recommendations of the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services’ 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans and findings of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies as they pertain to physical activity in children. This resolution also encourages Delaware’s public and private schools to provide students in grades K-8 with a minimum of 150 minutes per week of moderate to vigorous physical activity during the school week.
