SENATE BILL NO. 106

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 24 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE BOARD OF PLUMBING, HEATING, VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING EXAMINERS.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1.Amend Chapter 18, Title 24 of the Delaware Code, by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underlining as follows:

§1806. Authority of the Board.

(12) The Board shall require that all persons licensed in plumbing and HVACR services display the words "Licensed Plumber" and/or "Licensed HVACR" and the license number assigned to them in not less than 3-inch letters and numbers on the vehicles used in the performance of their work.

Section 2. Effective Date.This Act shall become effective one year from the date of enactment.


SYNOPSIS

The Bill adds to the Board's authority to require all persons licensed in plumbing and HVACR services to display the words "Licensed Plumber" and/or "Licensed HVACR" on their vehicles along with their license number in order to protect the public by enabling customers to easily distinguish between licensed and unlicensed practitioners.This requirement will become effective one year after the enactment date.
