RECOGNIZING MARCH 6 THROUGH 12, 2016 AS "WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK". |
WHEREAS, the National Association of Women in Construction ("NAWIC") Delaware Chapter 96 has distinguished itself for 51 years as the voice of women in construction in Delaware; and
WHEREAS, the work done by the NAWIC Delaware Chapter 96 has benefited Delaware through community
development and educational programs; and
WHEREAS, the NAWIC Delaware Chapter 96 has unceasingly promoted the employment and advance of women in the construction industry; and
WHEREAS, the construction community, represented by NAWIC Delaware Chapter 96, has been a driving force in fostering community development through renovation and beautification projects; promotion of skilled trades
careers; and a positive vision of the future; and
WHEREAS, the NAWIC Delaware Chapter 96 has sought to achieve successful results for Delaware and surrounding areas in a cooperative spirit with other organizations;
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the 148th General Assembly of the State of Delaware, the House of Representatives concurring therein, that the NAWIC Delaware Chapter 96 and its many dedicated volunteers are recognized for their steadfast work on behalf and support of women in construction, and that our citizens are encouraged to congratulate the organization on its many accomplishments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the week of March 6 through 12, 2016, is hereby recognized as "Women in Construction Week".
