House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Clemens) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 93 - 108 4 and insert: 5 using replacement body panels or sanding, bonding, or painting; 6 or 7 (e) For replacement of a motor vehicle key or key fob if 8 the key or key fob is inoperable, lost, or stolenFor the9payment for paintless dent-removal services provided by a10company whose primary business is providing such services. 112.“Paintless dent-removal” means the process of removing12dents, dings, and creases, including hail damage, from a vehicle13without affecting the existing paint finish, but does not14include services that involve the replacement of vehicle body15panels or sanding, bonding, or painting. 16 (14) “Road hazard” means a danger that is encountered while 17 operating a motor vehicle. The term includes, but is not limited 18 to, potholes, rocks, debris, metal parts, glass, plastic, curbs, 19 and composite scraps. The term does not include any damage 20 caused by collision with another vehicle, vandalism, or other 21 causes usually covered under the comprehensive or collision 22 coverages provided by an automobile physical damage policy.
