Summary

Amending provisions which provide exemptions from public records and open meeting requirements for the Florida Opportunity Fund and the Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research; reorganizing the exemptions by removing references to the Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research and transferring the exemptions relating to the institute to a new statute; clarifying that the exemptions pertaining to the Florida Opportunity Fund apply to prospective investments, alternative investments, and certain confidential proprietary information provided by a proprietor; reducing the time period during which proprietary confidential business information is confidential and exempt from disclosure; imposing criminal penalties on a person who willfully and knowingly violates the public records or public meetings exemptions pertaining to the institute, etc.
