    2         An act relating to review of employment contracts;
    3         creating s. 448.097, F.S.; requiring employers to
    4         provide a current employee with a copy of the
    5         employee’s employment contract upon request; defining
    6         the term “employee”; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Section 448.097, Florida Statutes, is created to
   11  read:
   12         448.097 Right to review employment contract.—Upon request,
   13  an employer must provide a current employee with a physical or
   14  digital copy of the employee’s employment contract. For the
   15  purposes of this section, the term “employee” includes full
   16  time, part-time, and contract employees.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
