    2         An act relating to the East Naples Fire Control and
    3         Rescue District, Collier County; amending chapter
    4         2000-444, Laws of Florida, as amended; revising
    5         boundaries of the district for purposes of annexing
    6         the Isles of Capri Fire and Rescue District into the
    7         district; requiring a referendum; providing an
    8         effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Section 3 of section 2 of chapter 2000-444, as
   13  amended by chapter 2012-231, Laws of Florida, is amended to
   14  read:
   15         Section 3. Boundaries.—The lands to be incorporated within
   16  the East Naples Fire Control and Rescue District consist of the
   17  following described lands in Collier County:
   18  
   19         A. Beginning at the northeast corner of the Northwest
   20         quarter of Section 27, Township 49 South, Range 25
   21         East, thence along the north line of said Section 27,
   22         east 45 feet to the east right-of-way line of C-851
   23         (also known as Goodlette-Frank Road), (which right-of
   24         way line lies 45 feet east of, measured at right
   25         angles to, and parallel with the north and south
   26         quarter section line of said Section 27), to the north
   27         line of Lot 11, Naples Improvement Company’s Little
   28         Farms, Plat Book 2, Page 2; thence east to the east
   29         section line of Section 27, Township 49 South, Range
   30         25 East; then north along the east line of said
   31         Section 27 to the northeast corner of said Section 27;
   32         said point also being the southeast corner of Section
   33         23 Township 49 South, Range 25 East thence east along
   34         the north line of Section 26, Township 49 South, Range
   35         25 East to a point 990.0 feet west of the west right
   36         of-way line of Airport Pulling Road; thence south 01
   37         degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds east, 1320.0 feet;
   38         thence north 89 degrees 25 minutes 40 seconds east,
   39         660.0 feet; thence north 01 degrees 30 minutes 00

   55         along the north right-of-way of Golden Gate Parkway to
   56         a point 620 feet east and 235.46 feet south of the
   57         northwest corner of Lot 8, Naples Improvement
   58         Company’s Little Farms; thence north 235.46 feet to
   59         the north line of Lot 8; thence west along said north
   60         line 620 feet to the northwest corner of said Lot 8;
   61         thence southerly to that angle point in said east
   62         right-of-way line which lies on a line 400.00 feet
   63         northerly of (measured at right angles to) and
   64         parallel with the north line of Section 34, Township
   65         49 South, Range 25 East; thence continuing along said
   66         east right-of-way to the north line of Gordon River
   67         Homes Subdivision; thence east along the north line of
   68         Lots 50, 49, and 48 to a point 22.5 feet east of the

  109         south 14 degrees 08 minutes 50 seconds east and a
  110         length of 43.26 feet to a point of tangency; south 27
  111         degrees 17 minutes 25 seconds west for 202.44 feet to
  112         a point of curvature; 296.89 feet along the arc of a
  113         curve concave to the southeast, having a radius of
  114         679.46 feet and subtended by a chord having a bearing
  115         of south 14 degrees 46 minutes 21 seconds west and a
  116         length of 294.54 feet to a point of reverse curvature;
  117         157.10 feet along the arc of a curve concave to the

  430         Section 2. At the special referendum election called
  431  pursuant to Section 3, the ballot question shall be in
  432  substantially the following form:

  434         Shall the Isles of Capri Fire and Rescue District be
  435         annexed into the East Naples Fire Control and Rescue
  436         District for the purpose of providing fire protection
  437         and prevention services to the district, with such
  438         district retaining the authority to levy no more than
  439         the current rate of 1.5 mills of ad valorem taxation
  440         on property located within the district?
  441         Section 3. This act shall take effect only upon its
  442  approval by a majority vote of those qualified electors of the
  443  Isles of Capri Fire and Rescue District voting in a referendum
  444  conducted in accordance with the provisions of law relating to
  445  elections currently in force, except that this section and
  446  section 2 shall take effect upon this act becoming a law.
