    2         An act relating to wind-borne debris regions; amending
    3         s. 193.085, F.S.; requiring county property appraisers
    4         for counties located within a wind-borne debris region
    5         to specify certain information on the property
    6         appraiser’s website; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 193.085, Florida
   11  Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         193.085 Listing all property.—
   13         (2)(a) The department shall promulgate such regulations and
   14  shall make available maps and mapping materials as it deems
   15  necessary to ensure that all real property within the state is
   16  listed and valued on the real property assessment rolls of the
   17  respective counties. In addition, individual property appraisers
   18  may use such other maps and materials as they deem expedient to
   19  accomplish the purpose of this section.
   20         (b)The property appraiser for any county located within a
   21  wind-borne debris region as defined in the Florida Building Code
   22  must specify for each parcel on the property appraiser’s website
   23  the year of initial construction of the improvement and the year
   24  of publication of the building code applicable to the initial
   25  construction of the improvement.
   26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2024.
