    1                          Senate Resolution                        
    2         A resolution commemorating the life and service of
    3         Rochelle Tatrai-Ray, President and CEO of Gulf Coast
    4         Jewish Family and Community Services.
    5  
    6         WHEREAS, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray worked at Gulf Coast Jewish
    7  Family and Community Services for 13 years, and
    8         WHEREAS, as President and CEO, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray led a
    9  staff of 600 employees and directed all aspects of the
   10  organization’s work in 60 different programs covering a 37
   11  county delivery area, and
   12         WHEREAS, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray had a primary role in planning
   13  and implementing internationally recognized models of community
   14  based care for those with serious medical, physical, and
   15  psychiatric disabilities, as well as innovative employment and
   16  responsible fatherhood programs for noncustodial parents, and
   17         WHEREAS, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray was the victim of a domestic
   18  violence murder in December 2014, and
   19         WHEREAS, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray had the heart of a highly
   20  qualified licensed mental health therapist as she rose in
   21  leadership and will be remembered for her hard work, dedication,
   22  and an uncommon love for the people served by Gulf Coast Jewish
   23  Family and Community Services, and
   24         WHEREAS, Rochelle Tatrai-Ray will be profoundly missed by
   25  her family and friends, her employees, and the thousands of
   26  Floridians receiving services from Gulf Coast Jewish Family and
   27  Community Services, NOW, THEREFORE,

   29  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:
   30  
   31         That the Florida Senate offers condolences to those who
   32  knew and loved Rochelle Tatrai-Ray, and commemorates her years
   33  of dedicated service on behalf of the people of Florida.
   34         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, with
   35  the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to the family of
   36  Rochelle Tatrai-Ray as a tangible token of the sentiments of the
   37  Florida Senate.
