A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 1 of Title 37 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the powers and duties of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities regarding the regulation of mental health, so as to provide for the regulation and licensure of short-term mental health facilities by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities; to provide for a transfer of duties and obligations from the Department of Community Health; to provide for rules and regulations; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
