Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Title 46 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to public utilities, so as to provide for portfolio standard goals for renewable and recoverable energy and energy efficiency; to provide for definitions; to provide for reports, incentives, penalties, and rules and regulations; to provide for a renewable and recoverable energy credits trading program; to provide for a registry of producers of renewable and recoverable energy in this state; to provide for credits for landfill gas or other renewable and recoverable energy in the form of gas supplied by a producer of renewable and recoverable energy and sold to a customer or gas distribution system; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
