A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending QT Kitchens and the QuikTrip Corporation; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, QT Kitchens, a solely owned subsidiary of the QuikTrip Corporation, opened its Ellenwood, Georgia, facility in May of 2009, creating 225 new jobs for local residents; and

WHEREAS, the Atlanta Division of QuikTrip has 116 locations and QT Kitchens has a goal to grow its Georgia facility by adding an additional 100 employees; and

WHEREAS, QT Kitchens makes fresh pastries, donuts, muffins, brownies, deli sandwiches, assorted salads, and fruit cups to be distributed to QuikTrip locations throughout this state; and

WHEREAS, during the current legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly, QT Kitchens has provided an assortment of products for members to sample and enjoy; and

WHEREAS, this remarkable corporate citizen has earned an excellent reputation as one of Fortune magazine's list of best places to work for eight straight years, operating 541 locations in nine states; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of QT Kitchens and the QuikTrip Corporation be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend QT Kitchens and the QuikTrip Corporation for their many outstanding contributions to Georgia, congratulate them upon their distinction as one of America's best places to work, and extend to them best wishes for continued corporate growth, development, and success in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to QT Kitchens and the Atlanta Division of the QuikTrip Corporation.
