Summary

Makes an appropriation to the Department of Public Safety to contract with community-based non-profit organizations to provide education, mentoring, restorative circles, farming, artisan skills, cognitive behavioral therapy, and cultural healing services to inmates and former inmates who are under the custody and control of the Department of Public Safety or the Hawaii Paroling Authority. Effective July 1, 2050. (SB71 HD1)
