A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE Seventh REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT
ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $89,276,500 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2021-2022 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the seventh representative district, as follows:
Construction for a sewer system.

The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the county of Hawaii.
2. Kanu o ka Aina new century public charter school, Hawaii
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for completion of the Kanu o ka Aina multipurpose building to include a certified commercial kitchen space.

Equipment $465,000
Total funding $1,800,000
The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education.
3. Kohala elementary school, Hawaii
Construction and equipment for installation of air conditioning units in portables P1, P3, P4, and P7 and the office.

The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education.

Construction and equipment for replacement of handles and panel box outside of building B.

SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2024, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2021.
