A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

making appropriations to the department of the prosecuting attorney of the county of maui.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for a grant-in-aid to the department of the prosecuting attorney of the county of Maui for the prosecution of cases in drug court, including the hiring of necessary staff.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for a grant-in-aid to the department of the prosecuting attorney of the county of Maui for the prosecution of cases in mental health courts, including the hiring of necessary staff.

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated in sections 1 and 2 of this Act shall be expended by the department of the prosecuting attorney for the county of Maui for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
