A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to human services contracts.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  No later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2011, the department of human services shall submit a report to the legislature concerning contracts awarded to nonprofit organizations that provide domestic violence services for victims of domestic violence as the organization's major service for the period from January 1, 2007, to June 30, 2010.  The report shall include the following:

     (1)  A description of the process used to award contracts to nonprofit organizations that received funds from the department of human services for domestic violence services;

     (2)  A list of nonprofit organizations that were awarded these contracts and the amount of funds awarded to each nonprofit organization receiving a contract; and

     (3)  The number of victims that received domestic violence services and the types of assistance they received under these contracts.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
