A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE thirty-eighth REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $4,919,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary, and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2012-2013 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the thirty-eighth representative district, as follows:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Mililani high school
Resurfacing of the lower parking lot
Design $ 1,000
Construction 250,000
Total funding $ 251,000
Design and construction to redo the tennis courts and construct a restroom near the baseball field
Design $ 1,000
Construction 950,000
Total funding $ 951,000
B. Mililani middle school
Plans and construction to complete the outdoor covered playcourt
Plans $ 1,000
Construction 699,000
Total funding $ 700,000
Improve drainage and land irrigation near F-building to prevent flooding of classrooms

Plans and construction to replace gutters on campus

SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation that are unencumbered as of June 30, 2014, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. The sum appropriated for the respective capital improvement projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
