A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE HAWAII TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The Hawaii technology development corporation is a key state agency in the development and support of the State's manufacturing industry.  The legislature finds that continued support for manufacturing is important to Hawaii's economy.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the purpose of continuing the Hawaii technology development corporation's manufacturing grant program as well as the operations and administration of the manufacturing grant program.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2112.
