A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to theft of bicycle.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 708, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§708- Theft of bicycle. (1) A person commits the offense of theft of bicycle if the person does any of the acts enumerated in section 708-830 with respect to a bicycle.
(2) For purposes of this section, "bicycle" means every device propelled solely by human power upon which any person may ride, having two tandem wheels, and including any device generally recognized as a bicycle though equipped with two front or two rear wheels.
(3) Theft of bicycle is a ."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is
underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
