A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO SMALL BUSINESS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The legislature finds that the small business regulatory review board provides comment and input into the administrative rulemaking process and provides recommendations to the legislature, governor, and the counties on rule changes to help small businesses. The legislature also finds that the board lacks sufficient staff to fulfill its mission effectively.
The purpose of this Act is to appropriate funds to the department of business, economic development, and tourism to enable the small business regulatory review board to hire additional staff.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $ or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2015-2016 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for the small business regulatory review board to hire additional staff.
The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of business, economic development, and tourism for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
