Sir:
Your Committee on Economic Revitalization & Business, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 141 entitled:
"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMERCE AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO CONVENE A TASK FORCE ON DOG BREEDING,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to request the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to create a task force to prevent future instances of animal cruelty by large—scale commercial dogs breeders and to protect the public from purchasing sick and unhealthy dogs.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Economic Revitalization & Business that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 141 and recommends that it be referred to the Committee on Consumer Protection & Commerce.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of the members of the Committee on Economic Revitalization & Business,
