HOUSE CONCURRENT

RESOLUTION

 

 

Requesting THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU TO INCORPORATE A VETERANS MEMORIAL IN PLANS TO ENHANCE ONEULA BEACH PARK.

 

 

 

     WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu (City) has invested $1,100,000 for a five-year improvement plan for Oneula Beach Park on the Ewa side of Oahu; and

 

     WHEREAS, Oneula Beach Park has undergone many community cleanups and improvements in the past two years and has become a safe, family-friendly community destination; and

 

     WHEREAS, veterans are an integral part of the Ewa community; and

 

WHEREAS, continuously honoring veterans is important to the State and the Ewa community; now, therefore,

 

     BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-eighth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2016, the Senate concurring, that the City and County of Honolulu is requested to incorporate a veterans memorial in the plans to enhance and improve Oneula Beach Park; and

 

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Concurrent Resolution be transmitted to the Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu and the members of the Honolulu City Council.
