     Your Committee on Water, Land, & Ocean Resources, to which was referred H.C.R. No. 186 entitled:

 

"HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 1 THROUGH 7, 2012, TO BE RECOGNIZED AS "HAWAII FISHING AND SEAFOOD WEEK","

 

begs leave to report as follows:

 

     The purpose of this measure is to recognize the week of October 1 through 7, 2012, as "Hawaii Fishing and Seafood Week."

 

     The Department of Land and Natural Resources, Fishing Tales with Mike Sakamoto, Hawaii Aquaculture & Aquaponics Association, Hawaii Nearshore Fishermen, and several individuals supported this measure.

 

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Water, Land, & Ocean Resources that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of H.C.R. No. 186 and recommends its adoption.
