A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of THE Eleventh SENATORIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $47,135,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2019-2020 for the purpose of capital improvement projects for the eleventh senatorial district, as follows:
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a covered play court facility.

Construction $775,000
Equipment $75,000
Total funding $1,000,000
The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education.
2. Manoa Elementary
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for the Manoa well-being center including garden, greenhouse, and related facilities; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

Total funding $1,000,000
The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education.
3. Noelani Elementary
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a campus-wide electrical system upgrade.

6. President George Washington Middle
Construction and equipment for the audio integration component of the audio studio project.

Plans, design, construction, and equipment for new band room facilities, including integration into the audio studio project facilities.

The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the department of education.
8. President Theodore Roosevelt High
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a new gymnasium with locker rooms, classrooms, and other related facilities necessary to provide equitable opportunities for girls and boys; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

The sum appropriated for this capital improvement project shall be expended by the University of Hawaii.
SECTION 2. The appropriation made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2022, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
