A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE MOLOKAI IRRIGATION SYSTEM WATER USERS ADVISORY BOARD.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Section 167-23, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (b) to read as follows:

     "(b)  All members of the advisory board shall be:

     (1)  Molokai irrigation system users[;] or their agents, officers, or employees; and

     (2)  Residents of the island of Molokai[; and

     (3)  Active general excise tax licensees]."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Description:

Amends eligibility requirements for membership on the Molokai Irrigation System Water Users Advisory Board.  Makes agents, officers, and employees of system users eligible and removes requirement that members be an active general excise tax licensee.  (CD1)
