A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
The
Hawaii community development authority
wishes to utilize its cumulative experience and knowledge to assist other state
and county agencies.
Accordingly,
the purpose of this Act is to amend section 206E-18, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to clarify
that the Hawaii community development authority may provide services to and
assist state and county agencies on projects
within and outside of designated community development districts upon request.
SECTION 2. Section 206E-18, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"[[]§206E-18[]] Assistance by and to state and
county agencies. Any state or county
agency may render services to, assist, and enter into cooperative agreements
with the authority upon request of the authority[.] for purposes
of this chapter. Notwithstanding
anything to the contrary in this chapter, upon request of a state or county
agency, the authority may render services to, assist, and enter into
cooperative agreements with state or county agencies for projects within and
outside of designated community development districts."
SECTION 3.
Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and
stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
