2011,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

10.
Issue
statements
of
professional
recognition
to

school
service
personnel
persons
who
have
attained
a
minimum
4
of
a
baccalaureate
degree
and
who
are
licensed
by
another
5
professional
licensing
board
or
agency
,
including
but
not
6
limited
to
athletic
the
following:
7
a.
Athletic
trainers
licensed
under
chapter
152D
.
8
b.
Persons
who
have
met
all
of
the
requirements
established
9
by
the
United
States
department
of
defense
and
the
applicable
10
branch
of
the
armed
services
for
serving
as
an
instructor
in
11
the
junior
reserve
officer
training
corps
program.
A
person
12
who
is
issued
a
professional
recognition
under
this
paragraph
13
“b”
is
authorized
to
teach
physical
education
in
grades
seven
14
through
twelve.

EXPLANATION
16
This
bill
authorizes
the
board
of
educational
examiners
17
to
issue
a
statement
of
professional
recognition
to
a
person
18
who
has
at
a
minimum
attained
a
baccalaureate
degree
and
who
19
has
met
all
of
the
requirements
established
by
the
United
20
States
department
of
defense
and
the
applicable
branch
of
the
21
armed
services
for
serving
as
an
instructor
in
the
junior
22
reserve
officer
training
corps
program.
A
person
who
is
23
issued
a
statement
of
professional
recognition
by
the
board
is
24
authorized
to
teach
physical
education
in
grades
seven
through
25
12.
If
the
person
also
meets
the
requirements
specified
in
26
Code
chapter
284,
which
establishes
the
student
achievement
27
and
teacher
quality
program,
the
person
is
eligible
to
receive
28
teacher
salary
supplement
funds.
