Section
1.
Section
237A.13,
subsection
3,
Code
2021,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

The
For
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2021,
and

each
fiscal
year
thereafter,
the
department
shall
set
licensed

and
registered
provider
reimbursement
rates
,
as
authorized
5
by
appropriations
enacted
for
payment
of
the
reimbursements
,
6
at
the
one-hundredth
percentile
of
the
most
recent
statewide
7
reimbursement
rate
survey
.
The
department
shall
conduct
a
8
statewide
reimbursement
rate
survey
to
compile
information
on
9
each
county
and
the
survey
shall
be
conducted
at
least
every
10
two
years.
The
department
shall
set
rates
in
a
manner
so
as
11
to
provide
incentives
for
an
unregistered
provider
to
become
12
registered.

the

This
bill
relates
to
licensed
and
registered
child
care

provider
reimbursement
rates
under
the
state
child
care

assistance
program.

The
bill
requires
the
department
of
human
services
to
set

licensed
and
registered
child
care
provider
reimbursement
rates
21
for
the
fiscal
year
that
begins
July
1,
2021,
and
each
fiscal
22
year
thereafter,
at
the
100th
percentile
of
the
most
recent
23
statewide
reimbursement
rate
survey,
which
is
conducted
at
24
least
every
two
years.
