subsection
7,
paragraph

is
amended
by
striking
the
paragraph
and
inserting
in

lieu
thereof
the
following:

The
state
fire
marshal
shall
establish
a
local
fire

protection
and
emergency
medical
service
providers
grant
5
program
to
provide
grants
to
all
of
the
following:

(1)
Local
fire
protection
service
providers
and
local
7
emergency
medical
service
providers
to
establish
or
provide
8
fireworks
safety
education
programming
to
members
of
the
9
public,
and
for
the
purchase
of
necessary
enforcement,
10
protection,
or
emergency
response
equipment
related
to
the
sale
11
and
use
of
consumer
fireworks
in
this
state.

Local
fire
protection
service
providers
for
the

purchase
of
necessary
enforcement,
protection,
or
emergency

response
equipment.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

bill
relates
to
the
local
fire
protection
and
emergency

medical
service
providers
grant
program.

The
bill
authorizes
the
state
fire
marshal
to
provide

grants
under
the
local
fire
protection
and
emergency
medical

service
providers
grant
program
to
local
fire
protection
23
service
providers
for
the
purchase
of
necessary
equipment,
in
24
addition
to
the
current
authorization
to
provide
grants
to
25
local
fire
protection
service
providers
and
local
emergency
26
medical
service
providers
to
provide
fireworks
safety
education
27
programming
and
to
purchase
necessary
equipment
related
to
the
28
sale
and
use
of
consumer
fireworks.
